The bank holiday weekend kicked off with a great night out thanks to DUCKIE!
There to celebrate their 16th birthday in the Clore Ballroom at the Royal Festival Hall, hundreds of wonderful people came out in style as the best of British and danced the night away to 80's classics, hot and sweaty.
Today we were asked to respond to the question - What is a Producer? Our answers will be fed into a symposium on Friday at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton about Producing in the regions. This is what I came up with, and how nice to take some time to reflect on what we do and why:
Last night - a video installation made by young people from the UK and Brazil as part of the Cultural Warriors programme, produced by Peoples Palace Projects at Queen Mary University. This was followed by an animated discussion around how engaging in art can transform our daily lives and communities.
