Roam
Tom Dale Company is establishing itself as one of the new wave of artists testing the boundaries of contemporary dance. A captivating journey into a world of swinging sub bass and complex percussion, with commissioned music from maverick producer Shackleton and live drum & bass from Sion.
ROAM - Life's roaming pulse is the unstoppable condition in which life finds itself, relentlessly dragging us into the unknown, connecting moment to moment, for survival, inspiration, meaning, distraction… conscious or unconscious. ROAM takes as its starting point the human requirement to explore and experience, and incorporates the work of poet Rick Holland. With lighting design by Ben Pacey and Bill Deverson.
In 2006 TDC was a Place Prize Semi-finalist and the company’s most recent work RISE was featured as part of Spring Loaded 2008 following on from a regional tour and before embarking on a successful run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Tom Dale was part of Europe In Motion, Spring Dance Festival 2009.
